The mission of HiQi4health is to promote health and well-being through education about qi cultivation practices to both the community and health professionals.

In collaboration with the National Hebei Medical Qigong Hospital and Training Base of Beidaihe, Hebei, China, HiQi4health of Hilo, HI, USA is honored to offer classes to nurture qi cultivation.

At the National Hebei Medical Qigong Hospital, enhancement of qi by means of Nei Yang Gong Qigong and Tai Ji Quan, as well as quiescent, are the primary means of treatment for a wide variety of medical problems in order to promote health and well-being. These practices provide a way to balance and maintain health on a daily basis through one's own effort.

These mindful practices will be guided by internationally renowned Master in Nei Yang Gong Qigong [Dr. Liu Ya Fei] and Master of Tai Ji Quan [Master Feng Yijian] of the National Hebei Medical Qigong Hospital & Training Base. In addition, within the Hilo community, ongoing classes will be taught by certified and qualified teachers, who have been trained extensively at the Training Base for 7+ years each.

In fostering this close relationship and exchange between Beidaihe, Hebei, China and Hilo, HI, USA, the high quality of these mindful practices through Nei Yang Gong Qigong and Tai Ji Quan is preserved and upheld.
We are a family of HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS that have bridged both the Western and Eastern medicine.

...more details
Traditional Chinese Medicine has 4 branches: acupuncture, herbs, physical movement, and massage. Acupuncture includes the insertion of needles into acupuncture points along the body. Herbs include both the medicinal herbs and diet. Physical movement include both qigong and tai ji quan. And, the last branch is massage through tuina and qigong massage. These four branches complement each other, and each have their own strengths. Nonetheless, the theory behind all of them is to stimulate and activate the body in order to increase qi and blood circulation. Thus, creating harmony within the body.

In TCM for those who have had a sickness for an extended period of time, their system is often unbalanced and depleted. For them, it is harder to heal because so much of their energy has been used trying to cope with the after-effects. Therefore, it is good to get hands-on treatment to jump-start the system. In this case acupuncture or massage is indicated. This jump-start from hands-on treatment in combination with exercise and changes in diet can help to sustain one's health.

Physical movement through qigong and tai ji quan are excellent therapies because it is something one can do outside of treatment and for one's own health instead of relying on someone else. It stimulates and promotes the flow of qi and blood to help in the healing process, and it is through one's own efforts, making the person accountable for his/her own health. All it takes is practice and concentration.

If you are interested in individual treatment, please contact Jana Ching. She specializes in using 3 of the branches of Chinese Medicine, qigong, massage, and acupuncture.
